Christelle Halal is born in Beirut. She studied illustration at "Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts" (ALBA). She is a freelancer in children's illustration and advertising.

Cynthia Raphael

Graduated in 2008, from Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts (ALBA) with a Master degree in 2D and 3D Animation. Cynthia Raphael is a freelancer with a passion for digital art.

Mariam Yakan

Currently freelancing as a designer and illustrator, Mariam Yakan graduated from the American University of Beirut (A.U.B.) in 2006 with a BFA in graphic design.

Jana Traboulsi

Freelance designer with a Bachelor in graphic design (American University of Beirut, Lebanon); a Masters in media and communication studies (Goldsmiths College, London, UK) and a Masters in multimedia studies (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle, Paris, France), Jana Traboulsi is now a graphic design teacher at the American University of Beirut.

Ghadi Ghosn

Ghadi Ghosn is a lebanese illustrator with a Master in illustration from ALBA (Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts). Ghosn already published a comic album in french: "le cri" and
he is also the co-founder of an illustration magazine called "le misérable".
Above are illustrations applied for last year's "Illustrate for the youth" contest, organized by the Lebanese ministry of culture and "la maison du livre". The theme of the contest was a Geha story.

Barrack Rima

Barrack Rima is a Lebanese illustrator living in Belgium since 1991. Studied illustration and comics at "l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles"; and multimedia direction at "l’Institut des Arts de diffusion". Author of many comic albums, short films and documentaries.

Bilal Bassal

Bilal Bassal began his career as a cartoonist and illustrator since 1992 in Beirut. After getting his master in the Fine Arts from the National Institute of Fine Arts in the Lebanese University, he left the country to live and work in Paris. He also studied music at the National Conservatory of Music when he was in Lebanon.
Bassal is currently working in the field of children's illustration and has many projects on the run.

Toufic Khairallah

Toufic Khairallah is young Lebanese illustrator currently living and working in Lebanon. Winner of last year's "Illustrate for the youth" contest (organized by the Lebanese ministry of culture and "la maison du livre"). Khairallah is an ALBA (Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts) graduate in Illustration.

Daniel Georges

Daniel Georges graduated in 2002 from ALBA (Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts) with a Master Degree in Architecture. A passion for comics and illustration reflects throughout his personal work. Poetic and emotional, George's sketches depict very personal feelings and situations.

Ghassan Halwani

Ghassan Halwani was born in Beirut in 1979. He completed a master’s degree in marketing and advertising and then went to Paris to pursue a degree in photography and a bachelor’s degree in fine art. He has worked on children’s books as well as in Aeolian industries.

Karen Klink

Born in 1985 in Lebanon, Karen Klink is a young Lebanese illustrator currently living and working in Barcelona. Klink began studying Creative Advertising in Alba (Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts) and graduated by choosing Illustration and Comics as a focus. Her latest works are involved in site specific art and children books illustration.

Edgar Aho

Edgar Aho (1963-2003), studied interior architecture and then turned to illustration, comics and jazz music. He exhibited his work several times at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in France (1987, 1990 and 1991); in Bologna, Italy (1990) and in Egypt. Aho frequently collaborated with the daily newspapers "Al Safir" and "Al Nahar" before joining "Chech Bech" - the first Lebanese comic magazine in arabic - and the animation department of the Future Television. Edgar Aho was also one of the comic authors that participated in the "zerooo" Lebanese comic magazine.

Hassan Zahreddine

Hassan Zahreddine is a Lebanes artist and illustrator. A fine arts graduate from the Lebanese University of Beirut and from UQAM in Montreal. He works as an illustrator for many publishing houses and children magazines.

Ralph Doumit

Born in 1985, Ralph Doumit is a Lebanese illustrator presently living and studying in Beirut. Fascinated by comics since the age of 10, Doumit spends most of his time juggling with words, stories and comic balloons.

Hatem Imam

Hatem Imam was born in 1978. He graduated with a BA in Graphic Design from the American University of Beirut; and an MA in Fine Art from the University College for the Creative Arts. His work includes both print and digital media. He is one of the co-founders of Samandal comics magazine.

Omar Khouri

Born in 1978 and graduated from Massachusetts College of Art with a major in illustration , Omar Khouri is the creator of the episodic "Salon Tarek Al Khurafi" comic published in Samandal Magazine, issue 0 and 1. After graduating, Omar worked as a storyboard artist for music videos in LA while developing his painting skills. Now Omar lives and works in Beirut.
